Disclaimers

Every effort is made to ensure that descriptions are accurate, we can accept no liability for damages or injury arising directly or indirectly from any error or omission in such information. All colours and sizes are approximate and are shown as a guide and although we will usually supply the exact product shown, we reserve the right to supply, on occasions, similar items but of detail differences.

We reserve the right to undertake minor changes to product specifications, information and images without prior notice, as the manufacturers are committed to continual improvements of the products.

Robsonsmobility.co.uk does not accept any responsibility for personal injury resulting from the improper or misuse of any products or equipment sold.

Making a Purchase and Payment

To make a purchase, just browse our website and click on any items that you wish to buy. Choose your quantity and product options, and choose “Add to Basket”. You can continue shopping, and check the contents of your Basket by selecting “Basket” from the main navigation menu.

To change the quantity of an item in your Basket, enter a new value in the Quantity column and select “Update Basket”. To delete items from your Basket, select the red cross (x) next to the product you wish to remove. When you are ready pay, select “Proceed to Checkout”. You will then be able to enter your Shipping and Billing Address(es).

You can pay via all major credit and debit cards. All debit and credit card transactions are made through a secure online terminal Paypal. No credit or debit card information is held on record by us.

Once you have paid for your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to indicate that we have received your order. You will also receive a confirmation e-mail once your order has been proceed and dispatched.

All prices quoted on the website are exclusive of VAT. Vat is charged at the current rate of 20% both for the product and postage and packaging. It is calculated at the checkout.

Zero Rated VAT

The disabled and chronically sick qualify to buy certain items in the UK without paying VAT at the standard rate.

A person is deemed to be chronically sick or disabled if they have a physical or mental impairment that has a long term and severe effect on their ability to carry out their day to day lives. The condition must also be one which the medical profession treats as chronic sickness.

The terminally ill also qualify.

It does not include a frail elderly person who is otherwise able bodied or any person who is temporarily disabled.

At the checkout you will need to tick the box to say that you are VAT exempt and fill in your condition in full and the exemption will be calculated automatically.

Delivery

Small to medium sized parcels are delivered either by Royal Mail or courier service and delivery times are normally 2 – 5 working days.

Large parcels are delivered by courier service and can take 2 – 7 working days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

We aim to deliver orders within 7 working days. We do not guarantee delivery times and dates. We cannot be held responsible for delivery delays occurring once the goods have left the warehouse.

We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery in cases where wrong delivery address was provided and we are unable to provide a refund for these goods.

We try to keep the postage costs as low as possible but although the walking sticks are lightweight, their length is more than 60 cms threshold thus the increase in postage.

Our telephones lines are open Monday-Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 6 p.m excluding Bank Holidays.

We despatch orders Monday-Friday but not weekends and Bank Holidays.

Returns Policy

If you wish to return goods to us, please contact us by email sales@robsonsmobility.co.uk or phone 01923 445207. You will need to pay the postage and packing charges for the return of the goods. Upon receipt of the goods, we will assess them to see that that are in a resalable condition. The goods must not have been used, damaged and must be with the original packaging including the labels on the items. If we deem that the products are not in a resalable condition, you will not receive a full refund. We will only refund the cost of the product. We do not refund the postage and packaging cost. You will be required to arrange and pay for return of the product to us.

If you wish to cancel your order before the goods have been despatched, you must contact us on the above email and telephone. Where the goods have already been despatched, you can cancel the order by returning the goods to us together with the invoice within 7 days of receipt for a full refund of the product cost. We will not refund the postage cost. The goods must be returned unopened with the original packaging intact. You will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the product to us. We advise that you get proof of posting.

All items ordered are checked before they are sent out to the customers. If however, upon receipt any items are damaged, incorrect, or incomplete notification must be made to us via telephone or email within 2 working days of receipt of order quoting any reference number required. Once we have received the items, we will refund you the cost of the item or replace it.

We recommend you get proof of posting as well as using a secure and recorded delivery method as we will not accept responsibility for return items being lost or damaged in transit.

Warranty and Guarantee

All items purchased are guaranteed to be in new condition, without any manufacturing defects and come with 90 day warranty.

The warranty covers items that have a manufacturing fault. Product warranty does not cover consumables (e.g. commode pans, general wear and tear (e.g. ferrules, tyres)).

Warranties may become void if items are damaged due to customer neglect, misuse or failure to comply with usage instructions. Any item returned under warranty will be repaired where possible otherwise replaced at no cost to the customer.

Certain items have extended warranty:

  • Wheelchairs: 1 year from date of purchase
  • Commodes: 1 year from date of purchase
  • Walking frames: 1 year from date of purchase
  • Sticks: 6 months from date of purchase

Your details will only be used to process your order and to provide you with efficient customer service. Your personal details are never passed onto third parties except for contact details for delivery purposes only.
